Hi,
I normally change washers myself without a problem, but I have literally hit a wall with this one! I can't get any grip on this to remove it. I have tried all sorts of gripping tools and nothing works. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @Lou24
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your wall tap spindle.
It appears to be a ceramic spindle with the locking sleeve removed. I propose trying to use a Craftright 16 Piece Spanner Set perhaps a number 10 or smaller. If this still fails to grip onto the body, I suggest looking at the Trojan 250mm Locking Pliers. Please note that the locking pliers will leave marks on the brass body as it literally locks the spindle body in its grip. Please make sure to wear personal protection such as gloves and goggles when using the tool.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Eric
Great, thanks Eric. I've tried using the Trojan locking pliers but they didn't work. I haven't tried the spanners because I don't have any small ones, so I'll go get some and try that
Sorry Eric, I forgot to ask about this little metal clip. Do you leave it on or take it off? I haven't come across one before
Hello @Lou24
Yes, please keep the clip on and do not remove it. There are no replaceable parts inside the ceramic spindle, it must be totally replaced with a new set.
Eric
Ok, thankyou Eric
