sealing kitchen splashback pennytiles

We have installed a pennytile splashback in our kitchen. We have applied dunlop grout and sealed edges with silicone.

This will be a rental.

What is the best product to use to seal/protect the splashback to keep it as clean as possible?

How is best to apply topennytiles? Is a spray suitable?

Re: sealing kitchen splashback pennytiles

Hi @blodynlisa,

Thank you for your question.

Have you selected a grout yet? If not, then a product like this Davco White Sanitized Colourgrout would be a good choice that would contrast the tiles nicely. Check out How To Grout Wall Tiles for some guidance on the process.

After grouting, assuming you use a cement-based grout, you could then use Davco 500ml Sanitized Tile And Grout Sealer to seal the grout and tiles, to further protect them.

It can be applied using a sponge, brush or sprayer, following the steps shown in the product data sheet.

Let me know what you think, and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jacob
