Re: How to fix peeled paint and paper on Gyprock walls?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Sunie. It's fabulous to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a wall.

To repair this, you'll need to start by sanding the area where the paint and paper layer have torn to remove any loose edges and create a smooth transition with 220-grit sandpaper. Once that's done, apply a skim coat of plaster filler over the damaged section.

After the filler dries completely, sand it back until it's flush with the surrounding wall with the 220-grit. Then apply a suitable plasterboard primer to ensure good paint adhesion and prevent future peeling. Once primed and it's dry, you're ready to repaint.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
