How to transition from laminate floor to tile?

Hi guys, just looking for some advice on what to do and what to use with this transition strip? From the tile to the floorboard is approx. 4mm.

Any advice would help.

Kind regards,

Re: How to transition from laminate floor to tile?

Hi @DGrams,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

It's tough to tell from your photos. Is there a difference in height between the tile and the floating floor?

If there is no variation in height, you could use a QEP 25mm x 1m Transition Cover Trim, fixed in place with some Liquid Nails.

If there is variation in height, you would need to use something like this Roberts Floating Floor Senior Trim. To use this trim, you would need to widen the gap by trimming the floorboards, as there would need to be space to install these Roberts Ramp And Cover Trim Plugs.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you for your reply Jacob,

Yes, there is a difference of 4mm from top of floating floor to the top of the tile. I think I will give the Roberts Trim a go!!!

Thank you!
