Should I trim the roller blind height?

Hi,

My door frame is 210cm and i planned to install a roller blind right on top of it which mean the standard 210cm drop will be too short and the 240cm ones should be fine with about 20cm to spare and i am a bit concern about the extra weight and size.

Question: should i trim out these excess?

Re: roller blind height

Hello @Onearmman

Can you please tell me which exact model will you be using for your door? The roller blind sets are not that heavy and if you are mounting it on the door's timber frame itself, it should be able to take the weight.

However, if you are installing it above the timber door frame then you need to make sure that there is a timber stud above the door frame so that the roller blind will be secure.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
