Thank you for sharing your question about filling a gap on your floor bead. I suggest using Selleys 475g No More Gaps Interior Multipurpose Gap Filler. It has excellent reviews and is easy to use. Please make sure that you have a silicone gun that will be suitable for the Selleys interior gap filler cartridge.

Movement is often caused by settling or expansion and retraction. Part of the foundation of the house moves causing the wall and floor to shift away from each other. Wood shrinks and expands, when this happens enough times, large gaps can appear. The gap will often occur over an extended period of time and does not happen immediately. But of course, there are circumstances that override these occurrences such as a large amount of water soaking into the soil and earthquakes.
