I want to built a pergola 1.74m wide and 6.3 m long with 3 post at one end and attached to a wall other end.
I saw the ground screw stirrups at Bunnings and wonder if it will work for this project.

Seems easy to install and no need to dig holes and messing with concrete.
Or is it still better to go with traditional timber posts cast with concrete in the ground or steel post stirrups.
Pergola only supporting colorbond roof sheets, no decking.
Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @nickoff. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Otter post supports.
Given that this is a structure connected to your house and you'll likely need to submit plans to the council for approval, complying with all relevant building codes is essential. I'd suggest that the most appropriate fixing method for the posts on a permanent structure connected to a house would be full stirrups in concrete footers.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance.

Hi Mitchell,
Thank you for your advice.
What length of pryda stirrup do you recommend to use for 90 x 90mm x 2.5m high, cypress post
Would it be 300 x 90mm or 450 x 90mm M10 stirrup.
Thanks.
Hi @nickoff
My colleague @MitchellMc is currently on a break and will return on Friday. However, in regards to your question, I personally prefer to over-engineer my builds and would suggest using Pryda Post Anchor High Wind 450 x 90mm M12. Please note that this is all dependent on the rules and regulations of the local council concerning what to use for your pergola in that particular area. The council could possibly require a more secure footing.
I suggest doing a quick google on your local council's rules and regulations regarding building a pergola and what the requirements are when attaching the pergola to your house and what kind of footing is required.
Please keep us updated with your progress, we look forward to seeing the start of your pergola project.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for your feedback.
The link Pryda Post Anchor High Wind 450 x 90mm M12.didn't work.
Also can't find Pryda 450 x 90mm M12 in Bunnings list of items.
Can only find Pryda 450 x 90mm M10.

Hi @nickoff
I'm sorry the link did not work. I suggest typing the item number 1120037 on the search bar so that it will send you directly to the product. If that fails type in the words Pryda Post Anchor High Wind in the search box and it will show you a limited search result of the Pryda Post Anchor.
In regards to the Pryda Post Anchor Full Stirrup 450 x 90mm M12 if the link does not work type in the item number 1120024 to take you directly to the product.
Eric
Hello @nickoff
My apologies if the links I've provided did not work. I suggest changing your search parameters on the Bunnings website. I recommend typing in "Pryda M10" or "Pryda M12" on the search bar. On the condition that you've nominated your local store on the Bunnings website, it will show you what they have in stock. Unfortunately, some store locations only carry a limited quantity of the Pryda lineup.
I highly recommend going for a store visit. You'll actually see what is in stock and you can also speak to the hardware specialist about products that you are interested in purchasing. The team members in-store can also check on the stock levels of other stores in case your local store has run out of stock.
If you need assistance in purchasing the stirrups, please let me know, I'll be more than happy to help.
