How to build wedding benches?

I want some help building benches for a wedding. They need to be lightweight, collapsable, and stabe. I was thinking Aframe but Im not sure if this is ideal. Any ideas and examples of how to do it and what they would look like? Thanks in advance.

Re: Wedding benches

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @ShannonS1. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about creating benches.

To get the best advice, it would really help if you could share any inspiration images or examples you’ve seen, as this gives everyone a clear idea of the style, size, and folding mechanism you’re aiming for. You could also include any DIY guides you’ve come across, as that can help members tailor suggestions to your vision.

It would also be useful to know your DIY skill level and what tools you have on hand, because that affects what kind of joinery or folding system would be easiest for you to build. Don’t forget to mention how many benches you’re thinking of making, as that will influence the choice of materials. Something lightweight like pine or even plywood panels might be better if you need to move them a lot.

Once you share some images or references, our members can give practical ideas on construction methods, folding mechanisms, and finishes so your benches end up looking beautiful and functioning well for the wedding. If you need help uploading images, I can guide you through that too.

I've included an AI-generated image of some designs that might be similar to what you're thinking.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
