Hi all, I’m looking to install the ekodeck castellated panels to my colourbond fence and wanted to see how I do the corner section. Is there a specific corner panel to install or is there are way to connect the panels to make a neat corner?
Pic for reference
Hi @StephP,
Provided your framing is actually square at that corner, you do not need a special corner panel. The simplest and most common method is to run one castellated panel straight through and then butt the edge of the second panel neatly into its face. If the frame is square, the junction will sit tight and clean and the corner will look very similar to the photo you have shared. If the frame is out of square, you can end up with small gaps, but that is a framing issue rather than a panel issue.
If you prefer a perfectly balanced look, you can also finish each panel so that their outer corners meet right on the corner line instead of butting one into the other. That keeps the spacing of the slats visually consistent on both sides, although it requires slightly more care in setting out.
For most installations, simply butting one panel into the other is the quickest and neatest solution, and it is almost certainly what was done in your reference photo.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
