Can anyone help me with a ground plan for laying composite decking 14m long x 5mwide.
I have attached pics of the progress so far.
Thank in advance.
Hello @lynne21
Have you had a chance to read the links that Jacob provided? They provide an excellent way for you to draw up your own deck framing. I recommend having a quick look at this featured project - Low-level composite deck over concrete and soil by @oninpena. It features a single level deck that uses angle brackets and pedestals for the slope of the deck. Your deck is very large and it looks like you want it to reach the fenceline. I propose checking the rules and regulations of your local council in regards to building a low-level deck of that size.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1 and @Nailbag for their recommendations.
If you need further assitance, please let usknow.
Eric
Thank you very much Eric.
Good Evening @lynne21
Having a look at your photos there dosnt appear to be a lot of height to play with between the concrete? Black plastic and the level of your door.
Would it be possible for some measurements of the base to the door sill height?
Where is the water going to run off to?
How high are you expecting the deck to be?
As @EricL has mentioned that is a fair sized deck. I would also step through the link that he has shown. Its a good base to start with. Spans, sizes of timbers and heights of stands are things I would be keeping in mind. I would draw up a rough plan on paper and then go trhough after reading the spans and keep a talley on what your deck will use timber and footing wise as a good start.
