Hi,
my lawn was laid approximately 8-9 months ago, and has started turning yellow.
Based in Perth, we have had a wet winter; but it gets a lot of sun.
Any suggestions on what has caused it, and how to save it?
thanks for your help!

Before we narrow things down, are cars ever parked in that area? Compaction from tyres is a very common cause of buffalo dying off in patches, and if that is what is happening it becomes a running battle to keep those spots healthy.
It is likely one of three things. The patches might be staying too wet, they might be drying out too quickly, or the soil in those spots may simply be poor or compacted. How often are you watering the lawn, and are you able to check how quickly those areas dry out compared with the rest of the yard? It usually takes a bit of troubleshooting to work out which direction to go. If you water the lawn and then monitor it over the next few days, take note of whether those yellow areas stay boggy for much longer. If they do, that points toward a drainage issue that will need attention so excess water has somewhere to escape. On the other hand, if those areas are drying much faster than the rest, you may need to increase the watering schedule or consider some targeted irrigation.
If the soil itself is poor or compacted, aerating the lawn will help air, water, and nutrients reach the roots. This is especially important if the area has ever been driven on or walked on heavily. You should find this helpful guide on How to take care of your lawn useful as you work through the troubleshooting process.
