Outdoor shower using tank water

Outdoor shower using tank water

We live by the seaside, so we decided we needed an outdoor shower. We have this corner in our backyard, next to our water tank, ‘empty & ugly’ not being utilised. We also used the water from the water tank (better for the environment). We purchased the outdoor wall art from Bunnings, painted it, creating a pretty in pink, privacy screen. Hubby paved the floor with second hand pavers, & plumbed in a second hand shower.

Materials

Bunnings Wall Art ‘Matrix 580 x 580mm’ Strelitzia

Bunnings cans of Spray Paint ‘Rustoleum Gloss Berry Pink’

Bunnings grout glue cement & rio

Leftover wood for formworkIMG_2845.jpegIMG_2846.jpegIMG_2849.jpeg

Tools

Shovel, drill, leveller, towel, screw gun

Steps

Step 1

Dug out the grass for the form work

Plumbed in the shower (connecting it to the water tank)

Concreted

Tiled in and grouted the pavers

Built in the wall art screens we created into a frame IMG_2850.jpegIMG_2849.jpegIMG_2844.jpegIMG_2847.jpegIMG_2795.jpegIMG_2796.jpeg

Step 2

The finished look.. we love it IMG_2806.jpegIMG_2808.jpegIMG_2809.jpegIMG_2836.jpegIMG_2827.jpegIMG_2812.jpegIMG_2839.jpegIMG_2841.jpeg

Re: Outdoor Shower

Hi @Patsy60,

This is another fantastic addition to what could be the most colourful home in the country. I love it!

Being seaside, I imagine your new outdoor shower will get plenty of use.

Thank you for sharing another wonderful project.

Jacob
