i am using sienna sleepers for my backyard so what would be the best screws to fix the to support posts
Hi @terry78,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
Assuming the posts are timber, and you are using 50mm thick sleepers, I'd suggest using these Buildex 100mm Climacoat Timber Construction Screws, if your sleepers are 75mm thick, I'd suggest Buildex 125mm Climacoat Timber Construction Screws. These screws are galvanised and coated to prevent reaction between any timber treatments and the galvanisation.
Use a Sutton Tools 5.0mm Long Series Jobber Drill Bit to drill pilot holes before driving in your screws.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hello,
I have come across this by looking up in how to also secure Sienna sleepers.
Mine are 50mm thick sleepers.
1) The Buildex screws do not seem to exist when I click that link.
2) And do I need the Sutton Jobber, the one that is linked above, if you will find an alternative screws as Buildex one linked above
does not appear to present.
What other alternatives, is there more than 1 kind ?
Hi @Sensai,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
Apologies for that, we try to give general recommendations as sometimes products change or go out of production making the links to them redundant. This appears to have happened with the screws I recommended.
You can use these Bremick XTP 14g x 100mm Black T40 Technoguard Bugle Batten, Bremick XTP 14g x 100mm T40 B8 Bugle Batten Screws or a similar 100mm batten screw with a coating to protect from timber treatments.
The Sutton Tools 5.0mm Long Series Jobber Drill Bit or Kango 5mm Long HSS Drill Bit would still work well with these screws. You just need a drill bit that is long enough to drill a hole 100mm deep.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
Excellent.
Appreciate the reply.
I will look into those later in the week.
