Can anyone tell me if there are suitable spray paints available for painting a mural on a concrete wall. The main attributes would be longevity, brightness/depth of colours, and compatability with other paints.
Thanks.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @katatak. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about spray paint.
Most standard spray paints will adhere quite well to concrete, so you’ve got a lot of options available. The key factors that will make the biggest difference for your mural are preparation and sealing.
Standard spray paints, like the White Knight Squirts range, work well on concrete walls, come in a variety of colours and are suitable for creating a mural. To get the best results, make sure the wall is clean and free from dust, dirt, or loose material. If the surface is very rough or chalky, using a masonry or concrete primer first can help the paint adhere better and last longer.
The Squirts range has bright, vibrant colours that layer well, so they'll give your mural depth and impact. Once the mural is complete and fully dry, you can apply a clear exterior sealer to protect it from UV and weathering, which will help keep the colours looking fresh for longer. Do a test section to ensure the clear sealer is compatible with your chosen spray paints.
