resurfacing pressed concrete

hi guys, any suggestions how to recoat a pressed concrete patio,it is concrete that looks like floorboards.i don't think the builders put any sealer on it when they did it,so after 8 years there is a bit of wear of it.IMG_0779.jpg

Could you just paint it like any other concrete floor?

You can test whether it is sealed by just putting a little bit of water on the surface and seeing if it absorbs. If it beads, then you will have to get rid of the sealer before doing anything else.

Re: resurfacing pressed concrete

thanks marty, water doesn;t bead,so obviously they never sealed it,so i guess to get the effect that i want,i will have to just paint it and then when it is dry,i will have to do the wood grain effect in a darker brown then seal it.
