Ceiling fan

I have a pretty expensive ceiling fan that only runs on low speed even when switch is on high, could a new switch fix the problem or would it be internal,Cheer's Krusty.

Re: Ceiling fan

Hi @Krusty,

3 questions:

1) Who installed/wired the fan?

2) What brand of fan is it and how many speeds is it meant to have?

3) Does the fan have problems when it initally starts?

I'm picking that this is a twin capacitor run fan that either has no capacitors wired in at the switch or the capacitors are wired incorrectly.

Any chance of a photo of the back of the switch?

Cheers.

MikeT.
