Hi All. I'd like to build my own wooden pull up bar along the lines of what's in the picture. Rough specs are:
Bar width: 82 cm
Distance of the rod from the wall: 54 cm
Construction height: 48 cm
Wall mounting: 6 expansion bolts
It looks like a pretty easy assembly but this would be a first time trying this type of build. Any tips much appreciated.
Afternoon @maxwing
"great reviews" hahahahhaah oh man, if you want to laugh go through a few pages of them.... If EVERY review is positive then there is something sus
If I self review a product I own under different names the "pages" of reviews is what I expect to see.
I still like the idea of useing multiple masonary screws to attach the bunnings version on a concrete or brick wall. I would look for recomendations on the product itself as to "How to attach it"

Hi @maxwing
Should you decide to go for the Wall Mounted Pull Up Bar, I propose using the Chemset Ultrafix Plus as it does not stress out the wall like Dynabolts or expanding wall anchors.
I propose using the following products to firmly anchor your pull up bar.
Here is a handy step-by-step guide: Ramset Chemset
Please remember to wear personal protections such as gloves, goggles and a mask when drilling into your brick wall.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Thanks for this EricL. I've taken a power point off to check the wall and it's solid concrete. In that case would it be better to go with mechanical or chemical anchoring?
Hi @maxwing,
Eric appears to be advising using the Chemset products rather than a mechanical Dynabolt. I agree with him as they are less likely to pull out of the wall.

Oh yep, got it. So the Chemset UltraFix Plus and the Ramset M8 110mm anchor studs should be enough, right?
