The Bunnings Workshop community can help with your home improvement projects.
Many thanks for joining the Bunnings Workshop community. You have joined a friendly, helpful community of people who are happy to roll the sleeves up and get stuck into home improvement projects.
We try to encourage everyone to have a go and will happily provide the advice and support you need. If you need a hand with a project, please don’t hesitate to click on the Start a discussion button. We have plenty of community members keen to share their experience and knowledge.
If you need a tradesperson to assist you, customers in the Sydney metropolitan area can utilise the Bunnings Services Marketplace. The service by TooEzi will match your job with suitable tradies in your area. Alternatively, try a site like Airtasker or hipages.
We sometimes get members on Workshop asking for recommendations for tradespeople in their area, but Workshop is a community for people right across Australia and New Zealand so it is unlikely that there will be a member near you who can recommend someone suitable. It's best to go direct to a site that is designed for that purpose.
Feel free to reach out any time you need help getting the most from the Workshop site or have any feedback about how we can make Workshop more useful for you.

Hi @jennihertrick,
The other option is to speak with friends or community groups in the local area and ask for suggestions about who they use. Often, finding someone who is already doing good work with others is the best way to get yourself a reliable tradesperson.

Hey all,
We need someone to install the extensions, any recommendations on someone in the Newcastle, NSW area?
Thank you,
Ilze
Hello @Elsa_dP
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us.
I propose posting the job on either Airtasker or Hipages. Make sure to include as much detail as possible about the proposed job so that you'll get a good chance of a quick response. Please don't forget to ask for references so that you can see what their workmanship is like.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Can someone please suggest somebody who can bring and spread garden bark
Hi @Vikasharma,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
Unfortunately, as we service both Australia and New Zealand, it is unlikely that any recommendations would be close to you.
My suggestion is to use a service such as Airtasker or Fiver to find a landscaper or handyman who can assist.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

I need to restore the decking at my house. Some joists require replacement too due to wood rot. This job is beyond my scope of capability. Does Bunnings have a list of reputable tradesmen who can help? My nearest Bunnings is in Oxenford. I’ve attached some photos os the job at hand:
Is there a small business specialising in compact ensuites?
Hello @heathertan
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about repairing your deck.
I understand you're looking for some help with your deck, but just to let you know, Bunnings doesn't endorse specific builders. A great way to find someone is by posting your job on platforms like Airtasker or Hipages. If you provide plenty of details about the project, you'll likely get quick responses from professionals who can help you out! My best advice is to request for references so that you can see what they did in the past.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.
Eric
Hi @CapeHoney,
Thank you for your question.
I'd be surprised if you could find a company specialising specifically in "compact ensuites", but I imagine any bathroom renovation company or builder could assist you with this kind of job.
If you wanted to find a business operating close to you, I'd suggest using a service such as HiPages or True Local to search for a bathroom renovator or builder.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi, I'm seeking someone who is QUALIFIED, who could build me a basic/functional ENSUITE in my 14 yr old, 3 bedroom home in an Adelaide northern suburb. I'm not wanting something that's luxurious/lavish, but just an ensuite that is FUNCTIONAL. Can tap into nearby existing HWS. Existing sewer line less than a metre away. The space, corner of my bedroom, is limited ie about 1.8 metres X 1.2 metres, so it would need to be fairly compact for me to be able to proceed.
