Re: fixing roller curtain

Hello @poppylee198

Thank you for sharing your question about fixing your roller curtain. If you still have your chain and it is still in good condition apart from the possibility that it has snapped, I suggest placing the end of the chain onto the roller gear. Slowly rotate the roller curtain so that the chain travels back into the gear and the end of the chain appears on the other side. Slowly pull the end of the chain that has appeared on the other side and link it up with the other end using a Pinnacle 3.2mm Chain Bead Connector - 8 Pack. The chain connector will link the broken chain together.

However, please keep in mind that the chain connector must not be run through the roller gear or it will get stuck inside.

Another possible option is to check if the Windoware 28mm Spline Tube Roller Blind Hardware Kit is compatible with your roller blind.

Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1 and @Noyade for their recommendations.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: fixing roller curtain

Good Morning @poppylee198

When I zoomed in on the cog it looks like the teeth have snapped off?

If its just the chain has broken and slipped through I would remove the blind and then while resting the blind on a tabletop or benchtop slowly roll it while feeding the chain back in with your other hand, fiddly but hopefully it will work. I would feed the chain half way through so the join wont impact the mechanisim when you re-install it.

Re: fixing roller curtain

Hello @poppylee198

If you can't find the old chain, I suggest looking at the Windoware 28mm Spline Tube Roller Blind Hardware Kit. If it is not compatible, I can only suggest purchasing a new roller blind.

In regards to the mud kitchen, I suggest using a Ryobi 300W Random Orbital Sander ROS300-S instead of a chemical stripper. This will remove the old paint and guarantee that the old mud kitchen will not be layered with chemical residues.

I also suggest checking out the store's Curtain, Blind & Shutter Installation Service, especially if you are looking for a professional to install your roller blinds.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
