It’s difficult to confirm from the photo whether this is termite activity. What we see here doesn’t appear to be the fully formed mud tunnels that termites typically build. Those tunnels usually look like raised, dome-shaped tubes running in a continuous line from the ground upwards. In your case, it looks more like smeared or patchy mud on the wall rather than a structured tunnel. Still, it’s always best to remain vigilant, particularly if you’re in a termite-prone area. Regular inspections around the base of your walls and timber structures are a good precaution. If you notice more definite signs, such as expanding mud trails, hollow-sounding wood, or bubbling paint, it would be wise to contact a licensed termite control professional for a thorough inspection and treatment if needed.
