Hey all,
Im replacing the silicon around some window frames, and in a few minor areas the razor has scratched the window frame. Just looking for advice on how to fix these up. Appear to be surface level on the paint.
Hi @Msteain,
It’s going to be difficult to effectively fix those scratches without going through a full repair. The proper way would be to sand back the area, fill the scratch, and then repaint the frame. An alternative would be to try some touch-up paint, but unless the colour is an exact match, it can actually make the scratches stand out more. In many cases, it’s often best to just leave them as they are — after a while, you’ll hopefully stop noticing them.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Fair point Mitchell,
Thanks for the advice!
Hi again @Msteain,
Just thinking, I'm not a fan of painting over scratches, but you could try this: put a little white paint on your fingertip and rub it across the scratch to see if you can fill it. Ensure you wipe any paint off the surface of the frame. This can work quite well and will likely make the scratches less noticeable.
