Lock Replacement - Glass Sliding Door

Is there a lockable (with a key) version of this door handle that someone could recommend and is it easily replaced or would it be a locksmith kind of job?

Cheers

Re: Lock Replacement - Glass Sliding Door

Hi @JonnyH,

Assuming the screw holes line up, then you should be able to replace that lock with something like this Rolltrak Black Sliding Screen Door Lock. We'd just need to remove the current lock to confirm the location of the holes in your door matches up.

If you have a look at the Installation Instructions, particularly step 1, you will see the measurements for the screw holes and the lock body to see if it would match up with your current lock.

The other consideration is the striker plate on the door frame. Is there currently a striker plate on your door frame? Where does it sit in relation to the current lock?

Installation is not difficult if things match up, but if they don't, you would need to modify the door to suit, which is certainly achievable, but you might want to consider having a locksmith do it for you.

If you can remove the current lock, have a look at the holes and striker plate and get some measurements, I could certainly assist further to confirm whether it would be suitable.

Let me know what you think.

Jacob
