How to fix bent copper pipes beneath the basin?

I was trying to replace the valve & washer on my dripping bathroom tap.I did the cold no problem, the tap bonnet on the hot tap is so tight/corroded that when I used the adjustable wrench to loosen it, I actually managed to bend the copper pipe beneath (I am female and not very strong so this was a surprise - potentially a sign of weakened copper?)

Is fixing this something I can do myself? I think the existing taps are these, and could be up to 23 years old https://www.bunnings.com.au/caroma-wels-5-star-6l-min-chrome-lead-free-elegance-ii-basin-set_p058470... but I have no idea about installation/whether repurchasing those tops includes the copper piping beneath. Also no idea how I'm going to get the existing tap off given I can't unscrew it. Help?

Re: Bent the copper pipes beneath the basin

Hello @diydunce

The good news is that I found the spare part for your basin set, it's called the Brasshards Breech Basin Tee. However, you'll need to engage the services of a handy person or plumber to replace it. The tapware will literally need to be taken apart and re-assembled in order for this part to be installed. I don't recommend taking this tapware apart and doing it as a D.I.Y project.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
