How to fix bloated shower stall?

Has anyone seen this before? Our shower stall wall is bloated at the bottom. How do I go about fixing this?

Re: Bloated Shower Stall

Hello @burpblurpp

When you get a section of your wall or tray that begins to rise or bloat it is an indicator that there is a leak in your shower. It's possible that it is a localized leak and the waterproofing membrane is still intact. I propose inspecting all the walls that are linked to your shower wall to see if water has come through to the other side. If it has, I propose engaging the services or a shower renovator and asking for a quote for a removal and re-installation of a shower cubicle. Generally speaking, the shower will need to be taken apart the shower wall board replaced and the leak addressed. Once repaired a new layer of waterproofing will be applied before your shower is re-assembled.

If you have any other question we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
