Do I remove hot water blanking cap when installing new top loading washing machine?

I have connected my haier hwt60aa1 toploader  to the cold water - but for the hot there is a blanking cap/stopper there. Do i remove and connect or just leave hooked up to the cold?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Actjuk. It's great to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about connecting a washing machine.

If your washing machine has a hot water hose, then the intention would be to hook it up. To use that tap, you'd need to undo the cap, exposing the threads. Once the cap is removed, it would be the same installation procedure as the cold side.

yep all good, attached it and it works like a charm, wasn't sure if it was there for a reason or if i was even meant to remove. Cheers
