Hi,
I have accidentally used a wet vacuum over my tiles and let it dry - but they seem to have left these tiger-stripe like streaks. Warm water and shower cleaner fluid + flat mop did not seem to work - is there anything else i can do?
Hi @jefferydeducke,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
If you run your hand over the tiles, does it feel like they have been scratched? Or are the streaks entirely visual?
It looks to me like they are just some light abrasions on the tiles, likely from the hard plastic of the vacuum head. It could also be that there is a sealer on the tiles, and the hard plastic has scratched the sealer a little bit.
I would just give them a good scrub with a scrubbing brush, using warm water and a neutral floor cleaner such as this Peerless JAL Versadet Neutral Floor Cleaner. It may take a few goes, but assuming it is just some light abrasions from the hard plastic, they should fade.
After scrubbing, you could also apply a Tile Sealer to help protect the tiles and reduce the appearance of the streaks moving forward.
Give this a try and let me know how you go. I can assist further if required.
