The shower has not been used for years as the frame broke , I have purchased a new L shape , but want the most secure brackets possible .
The first picture is the current holes in walls , happy to drill new ones if necessary. Or should I do something else ?
Hello @JojoMig
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your shower curtain rail.
One of the main reasons that an "L" shaped curtain rail fails is that the Sandleford 600mm Chrome Ceiling Support Rod has not been attached. This rod prevents the corner from sagging and provides support should the rail be accidentally pulled on. I recommend using a Ramset Super Wallmate Toggle Anchor - 10 Pack to anchor to the ceiling and Ramset 6 x 38mm Universal Anchor - 6 Pack for the walls.
I recommend pulling out the old wall plugs with a long nose plier before putting in the new wall plugs.
