How to tighten shower head on shower rail?

Can someone let me know if I can just replace the little part that holds (and makes the head adjustable on the rail + pivots the direction of water) and is attached to the rail? If so, how do I do that? I've tried to undo it and I can't work out how to take this bit off. The outside is cracked as well,  the showerhead was constantly falling down.. there is more to this part that I have removed.

The other one that you see has a cracked thing that holds a showerhead in place. Can that be just be replaced?

Re: Tightening shower head on shower rail

Hello @Emzi76 welcome to the Workshop Community 👋

They do indeed make replacement shower handle holders or "shower rail sliders" (as linked below), unfortunately as I've never mounted this type of shower accessory, I don't know how they affix to the wall (and thus how to remove them), it appears you will need to remove the rail to swap over the fixture, will need to call for additional input @MitchellMc @EricL @dave1

Re: Tightening shower head on shower rail

Hi @Emzi76,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Generally, you have to remove a bracket at the top or bottom of the shower rail to slip the rail out, and then you can take the shower slider off.

Your first photo looks like you may have already done this, but I'm not 100% certain.

Is it possible to get a photo from further back showing the whole shower rail?

The product @DIYGnome mentioned is likely an option, assuming your shower rail is 32mm in diameter.

If we can work out how to disconnect the shower rail to slip the existing shower slider off, it should be easy to just slip the new one on and then reattach the shower rail.

When I can see the full shower rail, I will assist further.

Jacob
