The project

We transformed our old concrete patio into a luxurious outdoor bathroom complete with waterfall water feature.

Now we can have a hot shower or soak in the freestanding bath listening to the tranquil sound of the water trickling down the waterfall feature, and enjoy some stargazing behind the hand-made barn doors. 

We've always wanted to build an outdoor bathroom – my wife loves them. This was our first attempt at one and we are so happy with how it came together.

 

 

The SpecRite Merbau panels look especially good here, bringing a natural feel and a durable, warm finish. The black tapware looks stunning against the timber as well.

 

We also loved using the James Hardie render-look cement panels. They were a perfect wall lining to give the space privacy and painted up beautifully in Dulux Monument.

We used Pine decking from Bunnings as well. It's some of the best-quality Pine decking we have used, so we were very happy with that.

I used Merbau again for the solid barn doors. They look really nice against the wall panels, breaking up the look.

very interesting setup, @diybevo! Just out of curiosity - why an outdoor bathroom? With all that space I'd put up a patio and have a bbq setup there
