VJ panelling can be a simple and effective way of covering an eyesore and creating a beautiful feature.
When we moved into our new house, one of the bedrooms had this painted mural. The paint is so thick that painting over it just wouldn’t do, you’d still see the pattern. VJ panelling is one of my favourite quick fixes. So simple, but very effective.
I used a Paslode nail gun to attach the boards to the wall. Super easy.
I covered any holes with filler, gave it a sand and then painted with Taubmans Footpath.
Bunnings Workshop member kingj11 used three 1m wall panels painted in Dulux Paris Green Matte to create this stunning feature wall and finished it with a Tasmanian Oak trim.
ProjectPete transformed a plain brick wall into a gorgeous feature wall using easyVJ panels.
ProjectPete also used Easycraft easyVJ 63mm panelling on his kitchen island and painted with British Paints Mossy Road.
Love @ProjectPete's use of panelling!
Hello and well done to you. I’m just about to do a panel wall after buying g today.
im on a mission to do a guest bedroom.
I was wondering have you had to cut the panels and if ‘yes’, what is your best advice for the best outcome?
Thank you in advance

Hi @mazzahhh!
First off, welcome to the Workshop community!
It is awesome to have you here and to have you ask about creating a VJ panelling look for your guest bedroom.
Let me tag @craftyhopper @EleventhCoastal @ and @kingj11 to ask for their advice on cutting the panels.
@Megarakawa does a great job with their feature wall in VJ panelling for home office | Bunnings Workshop community. which includes a Bunnings instructional video.
Our resident D.I.Y. guru @EricL will be on a bit later and will be able to help out as well.
Definitely post about your guest bedroom journey in the community!
VJ panelling is a very hot topic.

Love these walls - well done. I have been trying to find the VJ wall panels at 3 of our local Bunnings stores yesterday but all are out of stock and don't when they will be back in supply. I'm in Randwick NSW - what stores did you get product from?
Hello @mazzahhh
Thank you for sharing your VJ panelling project. My number one tip for a perfect fit is to check your measurements multiple times. Nothing is more frustrating than cutting the panel too short or at the wrong angle. The VJ panels are very forgiving and the edges can be lightly sanded to give you that perfect finish. Keep the panels lying down to avoid bowing, make sure to keep them in a safe place where no one will accidentally walk on them.
It sounds like a fantastic room upgrade, any photo updates you can provide while installing it would be very much appreciated.

Hello @JPH
It's great to hear that this project has inspired you to give it a go. Let me tag @mazzahhh to make them aware of your question. I've been in contact with our provider and they are currently addressing this issue. It may be a few weeks before the stock gets back to normal levels in the stores in your area. You can do a stock check by going to the Bunnings website and indicating the address of your local store. You can also give your local store a call after a few weeks to see if the VJ panels have come back in stock.
Please keep us updated with your progress, we look forward to seeing the start of your project.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
