Hi. I have just bought an Ozito 12v cordless drill. Could I use the battery from that in an Ozito 18v Circular saw or other Ozito power tool.
Good Morning @Shaun01
I use to have one of those years ago, but by the time it failed and I went down the path you are on the model had changed dramatically. The newer versions have a warranty and are just as good. Plus they just keep on going. I like that fact that Ozito stated that the model wont change for at least 3 years (that was years ago) when i bought it. The capacity to hold the charge and torque are far better then the green version as well.
Same thinking on aftermarket chargers and battery packs. There is no way I would be walking the path with so many battery packs overheating and burning these days. I have a mate who does repack batteries and as stated it will be cheaper to step up into a newer model 😕 There has to be a point a company switches over to a better product and that is where I think Ozito has done from their green to their red ones.

Hi,
I am looking at purchasing the Ozito PXC 18V Cordless 125mm Random Orbital Sander PXROS-125 - Skin Only Sander - https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-cordless-125mm-random-orbital-sander-pxros-125-skin-only_p...
Just want to double check the Ozito PXC 18V 2 x 4.0Ah Batteries And Multi Charger Pack is compatible ? - https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-2-x-4-0ah-batteries-and-multi-charger-pack_p0370066?store=...

Hi Jeff (@JJM1),
Yes, those batteries will work perfectly with the Ozito sander. The Ozito PXC 18V system is designed so all the batteries in that range are interchangeable across the tools, so your 2 × 4.0Ah pack will give you plenty of runtime for sanding without any issues.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
Great,
Thanks very much Mitchell.
Cheers
Jeff
Hi. I’m wondering if anyone has used an Ozito battery adaptor for Milwaukee tools. It wouldn’t be used often, just as a sort of emergency thing. I’ve got quite a few of both types of batteries so it would only be done if I’m using the Milwaukee whipper snipper through insane grass, or something equally insane. I don’t mind risking the Ozito batteries I’m much more worried about the Milwaukee tools.
Hi @nato1987,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.
Using an Ozito-to-Milwaukee adaptor might seem like a handy emergency solution, but it carries real risks you should be aware of.
Adapters can interfere with the built-in safety systems of lithium-ion batteries, leading to overheating, damage, or even fire, and Milwaukee’s smart electronics may not communicate properly with an Ozito battery.
This can cause poor performance, shorten the life of both the tool and the battery, and void warranties.
Neither manufacturer would recommend it, nor would I.
Allow me to tag @Dave-1, @R4addZ and @CSParnell for their thoughts.

Good Evening @nato1987
I dont see a problem as long as you check teh charge rating of the adaptors you use, Tho I would definently note @JacobZ's concerns about life spans and charging rates that may be part of a branded station/battery.
As a side note, exhausting batteries for those solid grassed areas can also shorten their lifespan, especially overheating the batteries by hard use and then quick charge so you can continue, id rather let the batteries cool a bit before I charge them.
As a longer term workaround Id keep an eye out for the battery sales that happen every now and then and buy a few spares ![]()

Gday Dave. I’ve got a bunch of Milwaukee batteries and if/when I overheat them I leave them alone for the rest of the day then charge them the next day. I may not ever use the adaptor it’s just one of those bits of kit that MAY come in handy some day. I mean I’d obviously try it out and have a bit of a chuckle to myself about it, but yea. It’ll mostly be left in a drawer unless I’ve got some spectacularly urgent thing I need to do. And that’s unlikely. You wouldn’t happen to know of a good brand or company to get one from?
can anyone help me explain why my two Ozito batteries won’t charge. When I put them on the charger which is working , I get a red and green flashing lights, and no charge
Hello @JRL1
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your Ozito batteries.
When a lithium-ion battery is not charged for a long time, it can enter a deep discharge state, leading to permanent capacity loss, reduced performance, or complete failure. If you have placed the battery in the charging cradle for a while and it still refuses to charge, remove the battery and unplug the charger.
I suggest checking if the batteries are still under warranty. If they are, I suggest bringing it to the store where you purchased it from and make sure to bring your docket or tax invoice. This will allow the team to track your purchase and process your warranty.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
