How to connect garden hose to soaker hose?

Elbow connector male/female 12mm to connect garden hose with soaker hose

I would like to find an elbow connector, preferably metal, that can connect this 12mm male soaker hose to a 12mm female garden hose.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of an elbow connector that could be used to directly connect your garden hose to a soaker hose.

You could connect a Holman 12mm Brass Sprinkler Adapter to the garden hose, then connect a Brasshards 20mm Brass Male / Female Threaded Elbow LF to the sprinkler adaptor. You could then attach a Holman 12 x 20/25mm Brass BSP Tap Adaptor to the male thread of the elbow and use a Holman 12mm Double Ended Hose Connector to connect the soaker hose to the other end.

Physically, it can be done, but it would require a few adaptors that would make the connection rather bulky.

Visit your local store and find this in Aisle 22, Bay 16.

Ask someone for help to adapt that so the tap side also has a click-on hose connector.

Thank you Alan. May I please ask are you able to provide a link to a "click on hose connector". Otherwise the store assistant will just stare at me blankly and say they don't have it and don't know what I'm talking about.

I can't remember exactly what I used because I found what was needed in a box of garden hose and irrigation fittings and adapted a few of them to use both front and backyard. I did another search using 'snap-on hose fitting' and found exactly what you need.

I don't think that particular Pope item was available about 5 years ago when I was looking or did not use that specific search criteria.

Hopefully, @AlanM52 can provide a link to the product he is referencing. I'm not aware of anything that would suit.

The easiest solution I can think of is to pop a two-way hose coupling into the brass fitting, which will then allow you to use a Pope 12mm Swivel 2 Way Snap-On Coupler to connect your hose and soaker hose at right angles. It's similar in principle to what Alan has referenced.
