I have this garden bed that I’m wanting to use but haven’t had a chance to as we have a lot of pests (specifically birds) that come to our backyard.
I’m very new when it comes to gardening but wanting to start doing this together with my toddler.
Would love some DIY help/inspiration.
Hi @lulu_0291,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.
A simple idea that you could use to add a cover is to place a 600mm Garden Stake in each corner of the planter, then screw through the frame with some Galvanised Button Head Timber Screws to lock them in place.
Once your four stakes are in place, you could use a Polytuf 2.4 x 3.0m Clear View Tarpaulin as your cover. You could drill a hole through the stakes and then feed some cable ties through the stake and the tarp to hold it in place.
It would be oversized for the garden bed, so you would need to cut it down, but you could add some new eyelets wherever needed.
This is just one idea, allow me to tag @Dave-1, @JoeAzza and @AlanM52 to see what ideas they have.
Let me know what you think.
Jacob
Hi @lulu_0291,
With your toddler in mind I have more of a art & craft suggestion rather than regular DIY - Electrical Conduit.

FRAME COVER-
How are you with needle & thread?
Use shademesh for the cover.
Measure up and cut to size.
Cut out the corners so the sides fall down.
You could 'sew' with cable ties but I suggest this:
The Speedy Stitcher
That does a lock stitch!
Cheers
Good Evening @lulu_0291
Well I was going to suggest conduit, and pretty much right down to the way that @AlanM52 has described it
I also really like the simplicity of @JacobZ's suggestion. Both would work very nicely.
I couldnt even choose which id go for
Either works well.
