Hello,
Crowdsourcing some ideas. I have this sewer access point that's kind of dragging down the overall aesthetic of my new garden area that I'm building. Has anyone found a nice way to hide them? Are there any considerations that I should be aware of?
Hi @devonlong,
The outlet is quite high due to the raised concrete collar. This is exacerbated by the soil around your sewer access point sinking over time, leaving the inspection outlet sitting quite high above ground level. One of the most effective and cleanest solutions would be to have a licensed plumber lower the outlet so it's flush with the surrounding soil or garden surface. This would not only improve the appearance but also reduce the chances of the outlet becoming a tripping hazard or getting damaged during gardening.
They should be able to install an inspection outlet that is flat and not raised, allowing you to mow over the area.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
