Hello Bunnings,
I recently planted some trees in my nature strip and now looking to weed and feed the lawn area.
Would a liquid or granular weed and feed be safer around the newly planted trees, and what distance should I stay away from the trunk to ensure it has no detrimental effect on the trees.
Thanks,
Lee
Hi @Lee777,
While the risk to your trees is minimal, it would be best to try and keep them separate.
Doing this would be much easier with a granular weed and feed such as this Yates 12.5kg Weed 'N' Feed Granular Lawn Weed Killer or Yates 10kg BuffaloPro Weed 'n' Feed Granular Weed Killer if you have buffalo type grass, as you can physically see the granules, whereas with a liquid, you can overspray without realising.
I'd aim to keep the granules at least 300mm back from the trees.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
