Just wondering what would be the best way to remove paspalum that is widespread in my lawn that is cat and wildlife safe? Thanks
Hi @kathy7,
Unfortunately, I am not aware of any products to remove paspalum that aren't classified as poisonous if ingested.
The only completely wildlife-safe method would be manual removal.
A stand-up weed puller could be used over the course of a weekend to remove a lot of your weeds without all the bending that can make weeding a pain. If you designate a weekend to rip in and remove as much as you can, then you could just maintain as anything reappears.
This would be a safe method for your cat and any wildlife in your garden.
Let me know if you have further questions.

Hi @kathy7,
For paspalum I recommend the Fiskars 4 Prongs Xact Weed Puller.

More pricy than the others but worth the extra moolah.
I go back and patch up the holes (if needed) with a bag of plain garden soil and tamper down with a foot.
For smaller weeds and stuff like couch grass I use a kids stool with a regular weeding tool.

Hi @kathy7,
I thought I'd just mention that you can use David Grays 500ml Crab Grass and Clover Killer Selective Herbicide. However, you must keep the cat off the area until you do the first mow and remove the clippings.
