Re: Pot Size for Goldencan Palms

Hi @Cole_73,

The larger the pot, the happier they'll be, as it gives them room to spread their roots. That's not to say they can't survive perfectly fine in smaller pots, and younger plants enjoy their warmth and drainage properties. Once roots start to grow out of the drainage holes, you'll know it's time to up the pot's size. A 50cm pot would be sufficient to see some prominent frond growth and be suitable for a medium-large plant. Unless you want a huge golden cane palm, I wouldn't suggest going much bigger than 50cm.

Please let me know if you have questions.

Mitchell
