1970s-era kitchen makeover using paint

My kitchen was built in 1979 and was dark and outdated. The bench tops were lettuce green in colour. The cupboards were dark stain with green knobs. The tiles behind the stove were also yet another shade of green. It all needed an uplift.

Re: Kitchen makeover

Hello @Una1

Your kitchen makeover has resulted in a bright, refreshed, and inviting space. The choice of "Hog Bristle Half" for the bench tops and splashback tiles brings a soft and modern tone that complements the natural light beautifully. Updating the darker tones of the past with clean, neutral finishes has completely lifted the atmosphere, making the kitchen feel more open and welcoming. It’s a thoughtful transformation that preserves the layout while enhancing both functionality and style.

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful project.

Eric
