Hello all, I am trying to paint my kitchen cabinet doors and not having a lot of luck. For the upper cabinets I sugar soaped, lightly sanded, spray undercoated and painted with chalk paint 2 layers and spray sealed. Not confident that this is going to last as it seems to be still a bit patchy.
I want to paint the lower cabinets and would like some advise on what else I can use to get a good finish that will last. Any advice.
Hello @Jorja1
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about painting your laminate doors.
Can you please tell us what primer you used on the laminate surface? Can you also please tell us what brand of chalk paint you used for the topcoat? If they are paint brands from the store, I can make some inquiries for you in regards to their coverage. Did you dilute the paint for spray paint use? How much diluting agent did you add to the paint? Any extra information you can share about your painting process would be very much appreciated. Once we have more information, we'll try to figure out why you're getting patchy results in your painting efforts.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
