Hi,
I've recently knocked down walls and channel cabling, which is now rendered
.
How best to prepare these areas for painting so that it better matches the existing walls?
Seal the new render, best product for that task?
Any other suggestions?
Much appreciated the help.
Best regards
Greg
Hello @greg303
Looking closely at your picture, it appears that the wall is still in good condition. I propose sanding down the wall with 180grit sandpaper, this includes the section where the old paint is acting like a divider. I also suggest filling in the screw holes, indentations and small cracks with UNi-PRO 500g Multi Purpose Interior Filler - 500g. Once the filler cures make sure to sand down the surface so that it is level with the wall. Once you have sanded the surface, wipe off all the sanding dust with a clean damp rag.
When the wall is free of sanding dust, I propose priming the surface with Dulux 1Step Prep Primer, Sealer & Undercoat 4L and looking at Dulux Wash & Wear in your preferred colour and finish.
