How to pour in place concrete benchtop?

I’m keen to pour a concrete benchtop in place, not a mold cast upside down and moved. Looking for the material to place on top of the plywood. The cement board I am familiar with from my last country seems to not exist in NZ. What is it you use for this here?
cheers!

Re: How to pour in place concrete benchtop?

Hi @vfrifrcfi,

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

You'll want to use a fibre cement sheet such as this Durasheet 2400x1200x4.5mm Fibre Cement Sheet over the plywood.

You should screw it in place with Buildex 32mm Fibre Cement Screws and glue it down with Liquid Nails

This will create a stable, moisture-resistant surface for the concrete to be poured over.

Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jacob
