My rangehood just broke down and it was a bit ancient, it had a direct rear exhaust vent without any ducting and worked well. However now that I need a replacement, I can't seem to find any 90cm rangehoods with a rear exhaust vent at all, I am not sure how they seem to have completely disappeared off the market, i only saw the belline slimline options which had that option but they are unfortunately only 60cm. Help please, I would really like to not have to have another vent installed on a slightly different location because of this. Also, important detail, I am in Auckland, New Zealand. Really appreciate it.
Hi @Robinord,
Can we have a photo with the cupboard doors opened so I can verify the one below.
Will be a suitable replacement because I am expecting to see.
A ducting box in there.
And that is from the User Guide.
Cheers
Hi @Robinord,
Unfortunately, the rangehood that @AlanM52 mentioned is not available in the New Zealand market.
The closest I could find in terms of size and shape is the Parmco 900mm White Milano Rangehood, however, it is not as slimline as your current rangehood, and it ducts through the top, so it's very likely that you would need to both modify the cabinet and reroute the ducting. Installation instructions showing the dimensions and location of ducts can be found here - Rangehood (T2-9-1L).pdf
Alternatively, the Bellini 600mm White Slimline Rangehood that you mentioned could be an option, but again, it does duct through the top, so you may need to reroute the ducting or modify the cabinets to accommodate.
Unfortunately, I can't see any option that would make the changeover a simple case of removing one and installing the other. You may need to speak with a cabinet maker if you aren't confident in modifying the cabinet to accommodate a different rangehood.
Let me know what you think.
Jacob
Hi @Robinord,
Besides contacting a cabinet maker you could also checkout local DIY groups for assistance such as DIY Junkies NZ
