We are needing to replace our Kleenmaid range hood (RH10), unfortunately model is no longer available. Have found others which look very similar, such as Bellini 90 cm. Needing to make sure it would be suitable to fit to ceiling extension as the existing one does. Would be grateful for any advice.
Hi @mimsi,
Your ceiling extension looks purpose-built for that specific unit, so any replacement canopy will only work if its flue extension fits neatly inside that existing enclosure. The important measurement is the internal size of the ceiling box, because the new unit’s flue needs to slide up into it without gaps or interference. Most canopy rangehoods we stock are designed to be mounted against a wall, and the rear of the unit is left unfinished because it is never meant to be seen. Your current setup is a freestanding drop-down installation in the middle of the room, so the replacement needs to be a model specifically designed for that style of install. A standard wall-mounted canopy will not look right or mount safely in this position.
I will tag my teammate @EricL for his thoughts. It is also worth visiting your local Bunnings and speaking with the Kitchen Expert, who can help you identify a unit designed for island or drop-down installations. Bringing the internal dimensions of your ceiling extension with you will make it much easier to confirm what will fit properly.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thankyou Mitchell, yes we are definitely needing a canopy style range hood, the Bellini 90cm looks very similar, am just needing dimensions to match up to be suitable, that's the tricky bit.
Hi @mimsi,
The term canopy references the style, I believe, not necessarily that it can be mounted in the middle of the ceiling on a drop-down. Our "canopy" rangehoods are designed to be fixed to the wall. So, you need a canopy-style rangehood that is suitable for ceiling mounting. The back side of our canopy units, where they are designed to be mounted to the wall, are unfinished, hollow and with mounting holes. I presume your unit looks good from all sides as it's designed for mounting above an island benchtop.
I've confirmed with Bellini that the 90cm canopy rangehoods can not be mounted with their flue extensions. The rangehood itself has to be mounted on a wall.

I see, thanks for looking into that for me Mitchell.
Hi @mimsi,
Sorry to say... I recommend you do not go shopping for a replacement.
As @MitchellMc mentioned most canopy rangehoods are wall mounted.
Here are the Installation Instructions for a typical Bellini canopy rangehood.
They are wall mounted.
I suggest you contact one of the Bellini authorized agents.
Google AI.
Hi @AlanM52,
Bunnings is able to order the complete range of Bellini rangehoods. Unfortunately, none of them are designed to be mounted above an island bench.

I'd recommend you visit your closest store and discuss your needs with our Special Orders team and Kitchen Expert @mimsi. I'm sure they would have run into this before, and they'll be able to check the full range from our suppliers for a product that suits your needs.

OK
Hello @mimsi
My apologies for the late reply. As an alternative, I propose looking at the Kleenmaid 90cm Stainless Steel And Black Glass Island Rangehood. It still glass highlights on it to give you that nice, elegant look but is mostly stainless steel in construction. Visually speaking this would be easier to maintain and does not display grease deposits on its body easily unlike glass rangehoods.
This is about as cutting edge as you can get with the “No Touch” Gesture Controls and Sensor Touch Controls with 4 extraction speeds including Boost. It has low energy BLDC motor for reducing power consumption, with a 10-year warranty. It includes 4 x Energy efficient LED lamps for superior illumination of cooking area and a 5-year full parts and labour warranty.
I'm sorry but your current flue kit can't be recycled, the good news however is that the new Kleenmaid island rangehood can be extended up to 1230mm. If you need a longer flue kit, please speak to your local store's in-store kitchen specialist and they'll be able to answer your questions about the island rangehood.
Your existing ducting can be reconnected and there should be no other changes that need to be applied unless the ceiling fitting needs to be adjusted in size. Please note that you'll need the services of a registered electrician to wire up the new rangehood.
If you have any other question we can help with, please let us know.
