Primer and Paint of different brands

Hi everyone,  we applied two coats of white knight primer on the kitchen cabinets,
https://www.bunnings.com.au/white-knight-500ml-renew-tile-and-laminate-primer-paint_p0197794

It is our first time using white knight products, it feels not as easier to use as delux. We followed the instruction of white knight primer but often get drips on the surface during the process

So we are thinking if we could apply Delux Paint on the cabinets already covered with White Knight primer? Will this be a good idea? Or this would jeopardise the work easily?

Thank you for any advise.

Re: Primer and Paint of different brands

Hello @ivanptr

Thank you for sharing your question about the White Knight Primer.

I recommend keep painting with the White Knight Primer, make sure to mix it very well. Give the primer enough time to dry, you only need to put one coat. Its purpose is to give the paint a good surface to attach to. I recommend not mixing White Knight Primer with Dulux paint. The White Knight Primer has been formulated to work with White Knight 1L White Satin Renew Tile And Laminate Paint.

It is best to use like for like products as they are formulated to work well together and are covered by its warranty. Please remember that White Knight Paint can be tinted to your preferred colour.

If you need more advice or information, please let us know.
