Home office renovation

Working from home as a building designer and drafter meant changes had to be made.  I hated my home study with a passion and I knew it was time for change.

I love up-cycling pre loved furniture and my new office is all of that!

I even ripped the carpet out and painted the concrete floor using Rustoleum chalk paint. The rug is second hand and the Bunnings lampshade was bought through Marketplace.

Apart from recycling the bookcases  (and reducing them in height, the majority of the furniture was purchased through marketplace, sanded back and painted with chalk paint

On one wall I affixed a full wall mural of the world (something that was out of our reach for the past few years) and another wall was lined with VJ board.

Now I love my workspace!

Re: Home office renovation

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @fishme. It's excellent to have you join us, and many thanks for sharing this fabulous make-over.

You've certainly done a fantastic job with the transformation. It looks like a totally new room. It's great that you've managed to update your furniture with a coat of paint.

It looks like you have a really functional space now. The only problem is that I'm now envious and contemplating what I could do to make my work area more pleasing.

Well done, and I look forward to seeing what project you tackle next.
