How to attach PU mouldings?

I'm adding some faux wainscot moldings to our bedroom and wondered what adhesive would work best.

The moldings are PU and very light weight.  I'm in Western Australia so they are going onto a brick and plaster wall and I don't think I can use a brad nailer (which would be my best option if it was a stud wall). Ideally I want something with fast holding properties (so I don't have to hold it in place for hours), white or clear that wont damage the PU.

I looked at Selleys Liquid Nails but became confused with all the options.  Any suggestions appreciated.

Re: PU Mouldings

Hello @ReluctantDYI

Thanks for sharing your question about PU mouldings. If I understand correctly, you are using polyurethane mouldings. If you are, I suggest using Sika 125g Sikabond Techgrip High Strength Multi-Purpose Polyurethane Adhesive. I propose using ScotchBlue 24mm x 55m Original Multi-Surface Painter’s Masking Tape to temporarily hold the mouldings in place while the adhesive cures. Once the adhesive cures the masking tape can then be carefully removed.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
