Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Ngupta1822. It's marvelous to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about wainscoting.
Great to hear you're taking on a wainscoting project — it can make a stunning difference to a space!
Just wondering how much panelling you’re planning to do? If it’s a significant amount, it might be worth investing in a compound mitre saw. They start around the $100 mark. Not only will it make cutting the pine much easier compared to using a hand saw, but it will also allow you to make precise 45-degree angle cuts, which are essential for clean joins at corners.
It will be well worth purchasing the saw and practising with it for a bit to get the hang of it. Trying to cut accurately 45 degrees with a hand saw and mitre box can be tedious at best.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
