How to fix a split in a timber dining table?

Hello. 
I have a dining table that has a split in it due to heat. I am wanting to fix this how can I do it? 
I have two other items I want to sand with this one and stain again to the same colour it was what products do you have to do this.

You might like to start with some images of the table, with close-ups of the damage and the other items, so our members have a better idea of what you're working with; they'll then be able to offer some useful guidance. Let me know if you need a hand uploading images.

The advice and steps required are determined by the split type and the amount of damage. So the images will be really helpful in assessing that. For now, you might like to check out our range of timber putty to see if there is a similar colour to the table available.
