How to fix crack in interior brick wall?

Hi, 

I have a crack in the wall and paint is coming off. I can actually touch the brick/white powder itself. How can I fix this?

I propose using Parfix 500g Ready To Use Multipurpose Filler - 500g in combination with a Pro Renovator 50mm Plastic Scraper. The general steps will be to clean the surface and remove any loose parts of the plaster. Use the scraper to spread the filler evenly and do not over fill the damaged sections. Your goal is to get a nice even finish on the same level as the wall. Once the filler is fully cured, use a 240grit sandpaper to level the surface. Wipe the surface clean then paint over with the same paint colour of the wall.
