How to paint window trims and floor skirting board white?

I'll like to change these wooden trims and floor skirting boards to white? How do I go about it please, I have some leftover British paints products as well that could be useful.

The general steps to repaint a timber surface are to sand the surface to remove the sealer on the wood.
